About Action
Action Typesetting & Printing was started in 1979 when Larry Lancaster purchased Maverick Publications commercial typesetting business and renamed it Lancaster Graphics. The firm was located downtown behind what is now the Deschutes Brewery and building that has since been torn down and replaced
In 1984 Larry purchased the 632 NE First Street property and remodeled it to hold the typesetting business and the paper supply business, The Paper Warehouse.
In 1987 a partner were added and the business was renamed Action Typesetting & Printing Co. Inc. Over the next 20 years printing technology changed dramatically several times.
In 2007 Larry's son Mike Lancaster bought out the partner making Action Typesetting & Printing Co. a father and son owned business.
In May of 2008 Larry retired after 50 years in the printing industry in Oregon and Mike purchased the remaining shares of the company.
